Daniel Wulbert's mathematical areas of research comprise: Functional Analysis, Geometry of Banach Spaces, and Approximation Theory. He has held positions at the Teddington National Laboratories (England), The University of Lund (Sweden), Ecole Polytechique Lausanne (Switzerland), University of Washington, Northwestern University, University of Mangalore (India) and Pondicherry University (India). Professor Wulbert's research has been supported with grants from: the National Science Foundation, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and the University of California. He was a Fulbright Scholar in India during the 2009-2010 academic year.
His recent invited lectures have included speaking at the annual meeting of the Indian Mathematical Society (2008 Delhi and 2010 Madurai, Tamil Nadu) and at a Vietnamese Minister's of Education Meeting in Hanoi (2009).
Wulbert's administrative positions have included: Chairman of the Faculty of Third College, Vice Chair Mathematics Department, Provost of Revelle College, Chairman of the Council of Provosts.
He is a regular reviewer of papers on Functional Analysis and Approximation Theory for the Mathematical Reviews and for Zentralblatt fur Math.
